PSL.
Warwick Sport and Warwick Squash enters a team into the national Premier Squash League (PSL) in combination with Kenilworth Squash Club. The competition is a favourite with many top pros, and Warwick graduate Sarah-Jane Perry is a regular in the team. Our line-up has also featured the likes of Ali Farag and Raphael Kandra in the past.
Volunteer
The four home matches each season are largely organised and run by the students. We set up the venues, welcome guests and players, run the social media pages and even conduct the post-match interviews. Volunteering at these events is one of the highlights of the year for many of us.
Watch
Even if you don’t want to help out in running the matches, you’ll still be able to come along and watch world class squash at the Warwick courts for a bargain price.
Play
For exceptionally talented students, there is also the opportunity to play for our PSL team. You will be able to represent us alongside and against some of the best squash players in the world.
2019-2020 Season
The 2019/20 season was a highly successful one for the Warwick team. With 8 rounds played, we were top of the Southern Division by 12 points before the season was cut short due to Covid-19.
Highlights included Warwick coach Guy Pearson nearly getting a game off world no. 29 Borja Golan and seeing world no.1 Mohammed El Shorbagy toppled on the university courts by Raphael Kandra. Unfortunately, the 2020/21 season was (yep, you guessed it) cancelled due to Covid-19, but we're looking forward to another crack at the title this season!
