WE DO
Warwick Squash is not just a university sports club. We're a community of students and staff who come together to play squash or have fun with socials that our socials team organise.
SQUASH & RACKETBALL.
Warwick Squash caters to squash players of all abilities - whether you're a beginner who has never touched a racket or the up-and-coming British Junior U19 - Warwick Squash is the club to join!
We have beginner's, intermediate, and advanced coaching taught by our student coaches or Guy.
We have 4 Warwickshire teams, giving players the opportunity to play in a more social environment than BUCS, but a more competitive situation than your average box league.
Club Nights
Warwick Squash offers box leagues running throughout the term, plus at least 4 tournaments per year.
For the intermediate to advanced player: The performance squad provides access to our full-time coach and more training sessions, nutrition support, physiotherapy, etc.
Warwick Squash has been one of the top-performing BUCS sports at the University of Warwick. We have 3 men's teams and 2 women's teams.
Warwick Squash in collaboration with Kenilworth Squash Club have a Premier Squash League (PSL) team. You can join us by volunteering at these sessions or watching them yourself.
A Week at the Courts
The biggest perk of joining our club and a mainstay of Warwick Squash? Club Nights!
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm to 9.30pm, we hold Club Nights at our squash courts. It's a free-for-all social squash session - you can play a match for your box league, have a racketball session, or if you're more into playing while chatting with friends, hop on court for a three-quarters game.
Not only is equipment provided, we promise you that the playlist is going to be filled with some good hits.
CHARITY & SOCIALS.
Warwick Squash also has a happening socials scene - ranging from sober socials to POP! Wednesdays and some annual specials unique to Warwick Squash like Academy and our Housecrawl. Our charity this year is CALM (in support of suicide prevention).
This year, Warwick Squash has chosen to donate to CALM. Last year we held a 32h Charity Squash event and this year we're starting off by running 1500km as a club!
An essential part of Warwick culture, Pop! is Warwick's weekly SU club night, consisting of all the cheesy pop music your heart desires. Six weeks a term, Warwick Squash runs a 'circle', consisting of fun drinking games and lots of laughs.
We organise termly alumni events like Alumni Doubles, Alumni Sports Day, and the Inter-University Tournament. After on W8 Saturday nights we don our school uniforms and head to the Copper Rooms for Skool Dayz!
Run for the first time last year, housecrawl is a fantastic night where we travel around Leamington in teams, visiting four different houses and completing challenges and games at each one!
Tour
The first week of the Easter holidays brings our yearly international tour - a week in a European city filled to the brim with circles, fun and squash! Only 30 spots are available, so make sure to watch out for tickets going on sale midway through first term!
For those who aren't keen on drinking, we also run sober socials (although of course, everyone is welcome at all socials, sober or not). Previous activities have included bowling, laser tag and a trip to the Leamington trampoline park!
